Born: May 7, 1979 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Andrew was killed in action on February 27, 2011,Kandahar Province, Afghanistan at age thirty-one. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, March 5th, 2011.

On the scene and behind the scenes at Loppet Snow Sculpture contest

I contemplated not attending the City of Lakes Loppet Snow Sculpture contest held February 5, 2011. I had developed a hacking cough, even spent good parts of the two previous days resting in bed. Fire-breathing sleds? 4th Annual Art Sled Rally January 30 at Powderhorn Park

“Double-decked, winged, jumping and fire-breathing sleds hit the slopes of Powderhorn Park” on Sunday, promises the website of the Minneapolis Art Sled Rally. I discovered the Art Sled Rally by reading about it in a blog article by a neighbor in 2009. Last year I attended the 3rd Annual Art Sled Rally on January 30, 2010.
