Minnesota House passes Marriage Equality bill, the Jewish perspective

The mood at the Minnesota State Capitol today was one of pure joy when the House of Representatives passed the marriage equality bill 75-59 on Thursday. The bill will now go to the DFL controlled Senate for a vote on Monday. Two generations in St. Charles and Chatfield support freedom of all Minnesota couples to marry

When Tessa Hoffman Schweitzer received a mail piece from Minnesota for Marriage targeting Matt Schmit, her state senator, the divorced mother turned to social media to object to the notion that the freedom to marry would harm children.
