After months of speculation, a new vendor was selected to operate Como Lakeside Pavilion.
Joined by Mayor Betsy Hodges, fast food workers and supporters briefly occupied a Burger King restaurant in Minneapolis Thursday as part of the nationwide movement for a $15-an-hour minimum wage.
Most Metro Transit buses have branch letters following the route numbers, which indicate where the route goes. It’s also ignored by the vast majority of riders, until they find themselves plunked down halfway to where they thought they were going. The various 21s present perhaps the most difficulties. The East Side Enterprise Center (ESEC) has held two major events to introduce itself to the world: the October 30 New Moon community celebration and the official November 18 Grand Opening for all ESEC partners.
The organization 15 Now is reporting today that Delta Airlines has fired Kip Hedges, long-time Minnesota labor activist and Delta baggage handler, for statements he made in a Workday Minnesota video that was published on October 20, 2014. Workday has reposted the video here.

After Cedar-Riverside businesses complained for years that graffiti and street trash were deterring customers from the area, the West Bank Business Association banded together with other local organizations to clean up their neighborhood.
On the day that President John F. Kennedy was shot, November 22, 1963, a classmate told me that she could see why I was upset, as I was a Democrat, like the president. But why should she, a Republican, feel bad? Something like that is going on now, with the Ferguson/Michael Brown grief and protests.
