Suffice to say that it is now clear Sodini was a Nice Guy®’s Nice Guy®, the kind of guy who believes that the hot chicks of the world owe it to him to sleep with him, because he’s so dang nice. And when they wouldn’t, he decided to kill some of them, because, evidently, of his niceness.

That the MRAs and PUAs have embraced George Sodini shouldn’t come as a surprise; his hatred of women mirrors their own, and his lament that women would not sleep with him — check that, hot women would not sleep with him — gains a sympathetic hearing from them, as men are owed the sexual services of 19-year-old models. That 19-year-old models generally are more into other 19-year-old models than 40-something former alcoholics with goofy mustaches is beside the point; who cares what women find attractive, anyhow? They’re supposed to put out for the Nice Guy®. Because he’s nice, and so that he doesn’t gun them down in a gym someday.

Needless to say, Sodini was spending his money on the PUA circuit, trying to find a way to trick pretty young things into sleeping with him, rather than going out and meeting women who actually might be interested in sleeping with him, women who were his age, women who actually might have found him attractive. But I rather suspect that even they would have blanched in the end. Because what was fundamentally unattractive about Sodoni was not his age or his goofy mustache or the fact that he was in recovery. It was the fact that he hated women, despised them to his very core, and that he viewed most of them as utterly disposable, and only a few — those of the “right” age, the “right” weight, the “right” level of attractiveness — as worthy of laying on the bed and letting him hump them.

The reason Nice Guys® don’t get women is because, for the eleventy billionth time, Nice Guys® are not nice guys. They’re amoral predators who view women not as fellow humans, but as jizz rags. No truly nice guy, no matter how lonely, no matter how hurt, could go into a gym and kill people. No truly nice guy could applaud such an horrific act. The fact that the MRAs and PUAs are doing so tells you everything you need to know about their movement.
