OK, for the time being, things are looking about as good as I dared hope, for President Obama’s reelection. But I’m not as sanguine as many; it just doesn’t feel right, to be that way. Ethiopia suddenly has a new president. The longtime leader of the nation, Meles Zenawi died earlier this week after an unspecified illness. The Ethiopian parliament held an emergency session on Wednesday to select the country’s new prime minister.
