We’ve heard it before, small-business development will be the engine to create jobs and foster economic recovery. But banks are hesitant to loan to risk-takers and startups with little financial track record.
WomenVenture is a St. Paul-based micro-loan nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women achieve economic success and prosperity. This year the firm has helped launch 150 small-businesses and created 350 jobs.
