Judson Street Fest 2013

One of many little festivals held by our community’s organizations, is one I discovered some years back, the Judson Street Fest. It is a easy bike ride for me and I have always been pleased to have live music preformed in the street with families and assorted individuals milling and mixing. It is sponsored by the Judson Memorial Baptist Church, which awakens me to the fact that not all religious congregations are impediments to progress. With the booths set up along the side street, and the selection of musical talent, I would hazard that the church is not anything I have envisioned a Baptist church to be like. It was a healthy environment.

There is a wealth of events for people to get out-side and celebrate our shared location and to find out each others aspirations and goals, or just be bemused as the children scurry.
