Saint Paul, Minnesota – November 18, 2011 – The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota (BBB) has noted a flurry of consumer complaints filed recently against Green Tire Bikes, a company located on Randolph Avenue in St. Paul that sells bicycles, bike accessories and offers service/repairs. Complainants allege that after placing their orders online through the company’s website, the company collected payments and then failed to ship merchandise in a timely manner. Many complainants also state the company has failed to respond to emails or phone calls.

“It’s always cause for concern when there’s a sudden influx of complaints against a given company,” stated Dana Badgerow, President and CEO of the BBB. “In this case, there’s a clear pattern of a problem and the company is leaving customers across the country in the dark.”

The Better Business Bureau attempted to reach the company via phone and email recently. The company failed to return our calls, but did respond via email, where they alluded to problems with a recent sale which has led to orders not being fulfilled. However, the company has not provided any further details, nor have they provided the BBB with responses to any of the complaints filed against them.

Currently, there are twenty-six complaints pending against the company, all filed within the past three weeks. Complaints chiefly concern non-delivery of ordered products. The company previously resolved one complaint directly with the consumer. Another complaint was closed unanswered. Green Tire Bikes currently has an F rating with the BBB.
