Known by many of her friends and colleagues as the silver-haired “White Raven,” she graduated with honors from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) and completed her post-graduate studies at the Royal College of Art in London. She was a highly creative artist, craft maker, poet and writer who served on the State Arts Board and MCAD’s Board of Directors. She finished her second book shortly before she died. That alleged “winner” of the final 2008 presidential debate is Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, a Republican voter. Per various media reports he lived in Arizona and Alaska; is listed in a Toledo, Ohio phone directory as Samuel Wurzelbacher; is falsely registered to vote as Samuel Joseph Worzelbacher; is making much less than $250,000 a year; has a $1,200 Ohio tax lien on his house; isn’t a licensed plumber; and can’t operate or buy a $280,000 plumbing business. During their campaign for the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton and many of her “feminist” supporters had no qualms about playing the “gender card,” the “race card,” the “assassination card” and finally the “petition card” to defile and defeat Barack Obama. Will she now allow her supporters to continue playing them, or will she truly back her party’s nominee?**

The National Unmemorial Day Concert

I’ve watched nearly all of the PBS National Memorial Day Concerts, and singer Sarah Brightman’s virtuoso performance at last Sunday’s was perhaps the greatest. This is an open forum for articles that otherwise might not find a place for publication, including news articles, opinion columns, announcements and even a few press releases.Unfortunately, it was grievously marred by the heart-wrenching photos of the dead Iraq veteran and his young wife, the live shots of a tearful her cuddling their infant child, followed by a clapping Colin Powell–one of the Machiavellian monsters who led us into a disastrous, unconstitutional war and destroyed that family’s dreams.
And that was the same Colin Powell who played a key role in covering up the My Lai massacre that destroyed dozens of families during the Vietnam War. His pious tribute to those veterans and Iraq’s veterans was a hollow victory for hypocrisy and a horrific insult to their survivors. How soon we forget. Continue Reading

Bill and Hillary Clinton have been widely criticized for playing the “race card” in their relentless campaign to recapture the White House. And now they’ve ignited a media firestorm by playing the “assassination card.” On Washington Week, reporter Karen Tumulty said this isn’t the first time they’ve played it; and on the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, columnist Mark Shields said it was “absolutely reckless.”(1,2)
“We have seen an x-ray of a very dark soul,” wrote Michael Goodwin, a New York Daily News columnist. “One consumed by raw ambition to where the possible assassination of an opponent is something to ponder in a strategic way. Otherwise, why is murder on her mind?”(3)
