In the Twin Cities, we are dealing with ice. Up north, they are dealing with massive amounts of snow. So I thought a little humor is needed. Feel free to embellish, just to tweek the out-state readers. You know you are in Minnesota when…
- The heater in the refrigerator kicks in to prevent food from freezing.
- The first cycle on the dryer does not heat, it just tumbles and sucks out ice particles.
- It is very cold when the snow crunches, no smooshing at all.
- I am at a stoplight watching a big truck dance. The back end goes right and then left, before the truck actually starts moving forward.
- I use a broom to sweep off the car.
- I like big numbers except when there is a negative in front them.
- Is a temperature gauge broken when then is no longer a place for the temperature to fall?
- Cats meow and whine until the food dish, the water dish and litter box are in front of heating vent or the fireplace. They then do the cat version of hibernation.
- It is a relief when one turns on the faucet and water still comes out.
- It so cold that the ice on the roads laughs at the salt and defies all plows.
