FREE SPEECH ZONE | Tornado Awareness

The decades-long sense of invulnerability for Minneapolis residents was shattered by the touchdown in North Minneapolis of a tornado last year. This makes this year’s Tornado Awareness event more important than it has ever been.  The city is announcing that a drill will occur on April 19 as a part of the Tornado Awareness.  Sirens will go off that day twice, unlike the usual monthly sounding on first Wednesdays.  Residents can read more on the city’s tornado awareness page.
