For any new readers to this blog, a quick recap about how this all works:
– I don’t use a car during Fringe.
– this will be my seventh year Fringing, both locally and on the circuit; consequently, I know a huge proportion of the participants. I have to make a real effort *not* to simply see people that I know.
– my improvised solution to this is to ride the Synchronicity Highway: I walk to the venue closest to me, see whatever’s playing, look for people I know in the audience, and hitch a ride to whatever they’re seeing next.
I had a rehearsal on Thursday night until 7:30pm in St. Paul. That gave me two slots to catch shows in — 8:30pm and 10pm — and the Gremlin was the closest to me, so off I went.
Ready? Steady? Roll.
