New bike lanes in Minneapolis

A ride of bike features in downtown Minneapolis on October 4 was part of Bike Walk Week. The ride featured new separated pedestrian and bike lanes at the entrance of Loring Park, new bike lanes in the Loring Park and Elliot Park Neighborhoods, new striped lanes downtown, and the just completed connection on the Hiawatha LRT trail, that links that trail to downtown and bike lanes on 3rd Street.

Council Member Lisa Goodman, Steve Clark of Transit for Livable Communities, and Richard Anderson of the Loring Park Neighborhood spoke at a ribbon cutting ceremony in Loring Park before the ride.
