NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | Prayer Vigil for Antoinette Hawkins in NE Minneapolis on Saturday

Windom Park and Audubon residents, along with other Northeasters, will share the grief and lend support to the parents of neighborhood resident Antoinette Hawkins who was murdered last week in her home. They will gather for a prayer vigil on Saturday, June 2, 4:00 p.m. near her home at the corner of 26th Avenue Northeast and Stinson Parkway.

Antoinette Hawkins’ visitation and funeral will be held at the Minneapolis Cremation Society, 4343 Nicollet Avenue South. Visitation is Wednesday, June 6, 5:00-9:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 7, 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be June 7, 11:00 a.m. at the Cremation Society. Donations to support the Hawkins family may be sent to any M&I Bank Account in the name of MAD DADS for the Benefit of Antoinette Hawkins.

The Minneapolis Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating and asking anyone with information to call the Department’s Tip Line at 612 692 TIPS (8477).
