NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | Longfellow Community Council annual meeting April 25

Every spring and fall, Longfellow Community Council has general membership meetings. New board members get elected in the spring at a meeting they’ve dubbed “No Pie Charts Only Pies”. They are dangling fresh pies (and probably juice and coffee) as a lure to get people enthused to come out and run or vote for council offices. The spring meeting date is April 25. One highlight recently divulged is that information about the Joe Urban Inc. study of commercial properties will be presented. This has been a concern of many residents, the fact that spaces go on the market and just sit there. All residents should really come to this meeting. And, well, a slice of pie isn’t too hard to take either. LCC is a 612-722-4529 or email
