The neighborhood I live in is doing some great stuff this weekend that you may be interested in: A tour of Milwaukee Avenue by an architect who was involved in saving it, Gorillas doing yoga (I think), grilling (you can pick up some great brats at the Seward Coop to do this), a biking/walking scavenger hunt, and a garden tour.
The garden tour is especially cool for a number of reasons:
- you get to go in the back yards and see some really cool gardens.
- in Seward, gardening is a little more creative than in other places.
- our garden is on the tour (my wife deserves ALL the credit for the plants–I just build the structures she tells me to.)
