NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | Eastside Food Co-op and Sen Yai Sen Lek at Living Green

Two pillars of the Northeast Community will take part in the Living Green Expo this coming weekend. . Eastside Food Co-op, 2520 Central Avenue NE, will host an exhibit and Joe Hatch-Surisook of local restaurant Sen Yai Sen Lek, 2422 Central Avenue NE, will offer a cooking demo of “Authentic Thai with Local Ingredients.” The Co-op reps will be on hand Saturday, May 5, 9 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 6, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Joe Hatch-Surisook’s demo is at Noon on Saturday.

The annual Living Green Expo is Saturday, May 5, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 6, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds Education Building and 4-H Building. Both buildings are fully accessible.

Admission is $3 online and $5 at the gate. Kids 18 and under are free.

Over 300 exhibitors, workshops, and demos will showcase the latest in green and sustainable living.
