UPDATED 8/1: The weddings began at midnight! Just last year, Minnesota found itself caught up in a heated debate over whether or not to include a ban on same-sex marriage in our state’s constitution. Little did we know, not even a year later, we’d become just the 12th state to legalize same-sex marriage. The UpTake provided live video coverage (below), starting at 8 p.m. when the wedding guests and those who brought about the change in Minnesota’s law celebrated at the Minneapolis Wilde Roast Cafe.  Governor Mark Dayton spoke at City Hall around 11:15 p.m. , followed by Mayor Rybak.
