New York City prepares for Hurricane Irene. University of Minnesota student and Bloomington Minn. resident Kelley Teed, visiting her sister Lindsay in NYC, had her flight back to Minnesota cancelled. She was due to leave Sunday.

Kelley walked around Wall Street today, where sections of the street were roped off as workers placed sandbags near the buildings. Kelley and Lindsay are living in a fourth floor apartment in Central Park West and plan to remain in the city unless there is a mandatory evacuation.
