For the last 123 years, communities around the world have gone into the streets in remembrance of the 1886 Chicago workers strike, a strike led by immigrant workers demanding better rights for workers and better working conditions. Friday’s march in Minneapolis asked the Obama administration to stop the raids and deportations and provide a new avenue for legalization for the millions of undocumented immigrants living and working in this country.
