SUNDAY PICK | The melodrama of “Lucia di Lammermoor” takes hold of St. Paul

Gaetano Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, while it may be entirely in Italian (with English subtitles projected above the stage, mind you), has stood the test of time. The plot contains all the vital components of a titillating drama: forbidden love, bitter feuds, and disastrous consequences. With only five showings at the Ordway, Lucia di Lammermoor will probably leave you wanting more, especially if you don’t see it.
