We are seeking people who have energy and ideas to contribute toward making the new development a great place for everyone. No special qualifications are needed and you can expect to learn a lot about development. Time commitment is roughly 10 hours over several months — meetings are yet to be scheduled. Food and childcare will be provided at meetings.
Please contact CNO executive director Eric Gustafson to learn more or get involved. firstname.lastname@example.org or 612-724-7457.
Working groups will include:
- Retail Selection — what permanent retail or services should be located along Lake Street, next to the outdoor farmers market space?
- Plaza Design — how can the 1.5 acre plaza/park space best serve transit users, farmers market vendors and customers, and other community events and activities?
- Sustainability and Urban Ag — how can the project make efficient use of resources and showcase a commitment to environmental sustainability?
- Bike/Walk/Traffic — how can the project best connect and manage all forms of movement while encouraging modes that limit congestion, noise, and pollution?
Eric Gustafson is the CNO Executive Director.
