People interested in seeing, at least in part, how school choice plays out for families might want to attend one or more of the free school choice fairs happening this Saturday, January 8 in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Suburban as well as urban families are eligible to attend St. Paul or Minneapolis district or charter public schools. Both district and charter public school options will be providing information. The interdistrict magnet options also will have information available.
In Minneapolis, the District will offer its school choice fair on the first floor of the Hyatt Regency, 1300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, and a group of charter public schools will offer information on the 2nd floor of the Hyatt. The district will provide parking reimbursement for families that attend and fill out a form.
In St. Paul, the District will offer its school choice fair from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, January 8 at Saint Paul RiverCentre’s Grand Ballroom, 175 W. Kellogg Blvd, with free parking and shuttle buses from two lots. Details and more information here.
