Fixity’s one-stop shop in St. Paul: Fighting “disposable consumerism” one zipper at a time


“It used to be a common occurrence that you would fix things,” says Katherine Hayes. “Joe down the street would fix your toaster, and Emma could mend your jeans.” At Fixity, she’s on a one-woman crusade against “disposable consumerism,” combining the talents and sensibilities of her artist mother and scientist father in a “one-stop shop.”
