While Earth Day is officially April 22, Earth Day events are scheduled before and after that date, and range from potlucks to clean-ups. Here’s a partial list of events in and around the Twin Cities. We invite you to add your own.
17th Annual Minneapolis Earth Day Clean Up
Saturday, April 16 9:30 a.m. to noon
Minneapolis City and Parks & Recreation Board partners with neighborhood organizations and other agencies to clean up watersheds around the Chain of Lakes, Minnehaha Parkway and Mississippi River. While providing an environmental education to volunteers, the project removed more than 15,000 pounds of trash last year.

Mother Earth Day and Transition Town Potluck
