NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | Don’t miss Hiawatha Heart Warmer Feb. 9

Come out for the 5th Annual Hiawatha Heart Warmer on Saturday, Feb. 9, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Lake Hiawatha Park (2701 E. 44th Street).

At this family-friendly event, you can ice skate, make snow sculptures or go on a horse-drawn wagon ride. There will be free hot dogs and beverages, and a bonfire for roasting marshmallows.

Inside, check out the games and prices. The kids will want to check out the crafts, and boogie to music provided by a kid’s DJ.

Door prizes will be given away every 15 minutes throughout the day starting at 12:30 p.m. Choose which time slot drawing you’d like to enter.

“Don’t forget to come inside to warm up and visit with our local businesses who support this great event!” urge organizers.
