COMMUNITY VOICES | April 20th – 21st: Weekend events in the Longfellow neighborhood

Print

There’s so much more happening around town than what’s listed here. To get all of the details, check our complete events calendar.

Saturday

  • It’s Record Store Day, and Hymie’s is celebrating with a street festival. Two stages, fourteen live acts, Merlins Rest pouring brews, special releases, Mother Earth Gardens’ seed bombs, and so much more awesomeness. Stop by and chase away the winter blahs.
  • UPDATED (4/19/13 9:45 a.m.): There were a lot of clean-up events scheduled along West River Parkway in honor of Earth Day on Monday. But, due to the whims of Mother Nature, they’ve been cancelled and will be rescheduled when there isn’t quite so much snow on the ground. We’ll update the calendar with the new dates and times when we hear from the Park Board.
  • Fashion designer Brianna Westlund will be showing her latest pieces in her first independent fashion show held at T’s Place. Read our recent interview with Westlund.

Sunday

Coming Up This Week

  • Hitchcock Fest kicks off at the Riverview Theater.
  • The Longfellow Community Council will be holding its annual meeting. Share pie, find out what’s happening in Longfellow, and learn about community resources.

Do you have an event coming up that you’d like to see added to our calendar? We want to know about it! Send an email to tips@my-broadsheet.com, and we will post your event details.
