Ballet of the Dolls

Founded in 1986 by choreographer Myron Johnson, the Ballet of the Dolls is a dance-theater company housed in the Ritz Theater in Northeast Minneapolis. Their performances, which feature elements of dance and theater, include original works and deconstructions of traditional ballets such as the Nutcracker. Access to Art Correspondent Laura Stopyro attended their most recent show, an original production titled “Born to Be Alive.”
