SATURDAY PICK | Art by architects at the 801 Gallery

Architecture is, of course, an art—but sometimes architects like to try their hand at artworks that don’t need to be load-tested. Jan Elftmann, best known as the Twin Cities’ art car queen (that’s her you’ve seen waving from the back of her Cork Truck), is curating a show at the 801 Gallery featuring work by 801 Lofts architect Garth Rockcastle as well as architects Peter Brown and Mark Kritz. Also exhibiting work in the show will be Aldo Moroni, Keith Holmes, and Laura Migliorino—a photographer who was hired by Rockcastle 10 years ago to photograph the building, and will be showing her images from that shoot.

Coverage of issues and events affecting Central Corridor communities is funded in part by the Central Corridor Collaborative.
