The Opening Reception offers the opportunity to view and purchase a diverse collage of paintings, photography, sculpture, mix-media art, while enjoying hors d’oeuvres from Create Catering, wine from Indeed Brewing, and live music from Upton Mixx. COMMUNITY VOICES | Open Streets event animates Central Avenue

The third Open Streets event this summer in Minneapolis was held on Central Avenue on Sunday, July 27th. The street was closed to motor vehicle traffic from 18th Ave. NE to 26th Ave. NE from 10 am to 4 pm, and people biked, walked, and visited the many stations and vendors along the route. The official first day of summer may be June 21, but this weekend marks the unofficial launch of the summer festival season in the Twin Cities. The weather forecast shows a chance of scattered showers, but let’s hope the sun wins out!
