Northeast Minneapolis hosts transit summit

The Central Corridor Light Rail system won’t carry a passenger until 2014, according to the Metropolitan Council, but construction is slated to begin in 2010, if it gets federal approval. A major hurdle in this process was recently passed with last month’s submission of a 4,000 page application. Summit informationThe Neighborhood Transit Summit will be hosted by Third Ward City Councilwoman Diane Hofstede and will take place at the Ritz Theater, 345 15th Street NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Coming home to Edison Homecoming

If you grew up in a small town, you knew that when homecoming rolled around the entire community participated. Everyone watched the homecoming parade and the game, turning out in support of their team. This year’s Edison High School Homecoming is trying to drum up similar enthusiasm.
