Intermittent sprinkles couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of several thousand parade-goers who lined the curbs of Central Avenue for the 86th annual Northeast Parade. The family-friendly event brought out people from both nearby neighborhoods and throughout the city. They were entertained by floats with queens and schoolkids, mariachi bands and flamenco dancers, shriners in golf carts, marching bands with flag-spinners, circling unicyclists, mounted horsemen and a dozen SUVs sporting enormous wheel rims.
