Name: William Godlin
Website: “Nothing right now, besides the ubiquitous Facebook.”
What’s your job?
“The Uptown Theatre. Well, the Lagoon until renovations are completed.”
Other than your job, what are your claims to fame?
“I am a perambulatory skeleton. I’ve shown up in bit/extra parts in a few local films—Seeking Wellness, When the Sidewalk Ends, a few 24/48 Hour films—and have done storyboards for a couple as well—3 Bullets, 24/48 films. I’m an amateur illustrator hoping to eventually remove the ‘amateur.’ I’m apparently ‘that guy,’ or so people frequently tell me.”
What’s your relationship status?
“Single.”
Where are you most likely to be seen?
“Transmission at Clubhouse Jäger, Chamber at Bolt Underground, Hard Mondays at the Saloon, Ground Zero.”
Where are you least likely not to be seen?
“Most bars. I deeply enjoy my quiet, and prefer my drunks to be able to carry on deep, meaningful, pretentious conversations.”
With what person or people are you most likely to be seen?
“The geeks and the weirdos—meant with the highest praise. It’s hard to be more specific than that as I’m so terrible at making plans. I generally just show up places and see who I run into.”
Where were you born?
“I grew up in Ely, Minnesota.”
What neighborhood do you live in now?
“Stevens Square.”
What’s your ride?
“Bike or boots.”
What’s the best way for someone to start a conversation with you?
“Sneak up on me sideways. With a net. If you don’t want to carry extra equipment, joining whatever circle I’m currently chain-smoking in and being interesting should work pretty well. Not that I’m socially awkward.”
