Danish radio journalist visits Daily Planet
Jorgen Jensen, a radio journalist from Denmark, visited the Daily Planet headquarters Monday to talk with staff about our mission and editorial process. He also received an unexpected lesson in funding strategies by sitting around the table as board members discussed a grant application. Jorgen later visited Ann Alquist at KFAI.

Citizen-journalist class has openings
Former New York Times reporter and TCMA board member Doug McGill has begun teaching another six-week reporting class at Resource Center of the Americas. The class has a few openings, so if you’re interested in attending, contact Doug at doug@mcgillreport.org.

Walk for Justice coming September 17
The Walk for Justice, scheduled for September 17, will attract hundreds of progressive individuals and organizations for a day of information-sharing and fundraising. Your participation can help raise money for the Daily Planet. For more information, contact Cynthia Moothart at cynthia@headwatersfoundation.org or visit www.walkforjustice.org.

We’re still looking for volunteers to help at the fall forum
Our fall forum, Citizens and the Future of the News, featuring Lizz Winstead and Mark Crispin Miller, is scheduled for September 16 at Hamline University, and we could use a little help on the day of the event. Contact Becky Clawson at becky@tcdailyplanet.net if you’re curious about how you can help. And to learn more about the forum, visit www.tcmediaalliance.org/future.php.
