Rep. Tim Walz raised roughly $430,000 in the second quarter of this year. The freshman legislator currently has $1.2 million cash on hand, compared to less than $400,000 for Davis. The Federal Elections Commission has not yet posted Walz’s quarterly financial report, but his campaign released the figures in a press release yesterday. Republican challenger Brian Davis reported yesterday that he brought in $291,000 during the quarter, while loaning the campaign an additional $100,000 from his personal finances. All federal campaigns are required to file fundraising reports for the first six months of the year with the FEC by July 15.
