Visionary environmentalists to be honored at annual sustainability awards

On Monday, the Minneapolis-based Alliance for Sustainability will honor
five individuals and organization it considers on the cutting edge of
sustainable practice. In this interview with KFAI’s News Director Ann
Alquist, Alliance for Sustainability President Terry Gips explains what they
were looking for in award winners, like Susan Hubbard from Eureka Recycling.

The Second Annual Sustainability Awards dinner will be held Monday,
September 25 at 5 p.m. in the atrium of the Minnesota Children’s Museum in St.
Paul, and will be followed by an awards ceremony at the Fitzgerald Theatre starting
at 7 p.m. emceed by polar explorer Will Steger and WCCO anchor Don Shelby.
