Another Valentine’s Eve event in St. Paul – Bippy’s Burlesque on February 13 at the Cabaret Theater at Camp Bar in downtown St. Paul. “With a steady stream of dancers showcasing burlesque, cabaret, belly dancing and more, this is one Valentine’s event that doesn’t quite fit on a Hallmark card.”

On V-Day:

Move over to Minneapolis for the One Billion Rising Flash Mobs. “Women and girls rise up against male violence against women and girls. World day of rising: Valentine’s Day, 2013, Downtown Mpls. Late afternoon. Details forthcoming on Vday.” Check out the One Billion Rising dance video here and the Facebook page here.

Poetry SlamMN’s Erotica Slam is in its 17th year of unholy matrimony, and this year comes with a bonus night on Valentine’s Day at Kieran’s. The featured poet of the evening is Cristin O’Keefe Aptowicz, but audience members are encouraged to bring their own three-minute poem to compete as well. The night is promised to be filled with “poetry that will make you squirm, squish, and simmer” in case you weren’t already hot and bothered enough already. – Morgan Halaska’s pick
