Curious as to who the most-followed tweeters were among local arts organizations, I went prospecting for the Twitter accounts of notable local arts-related institutions. It’s no surprise that the media-savvy, world-class Walker Art Center tops the list, but there are a few surprises further down. For example, would you have guessed that the Walker has 23 times as many followers as the MIA? Or that lit darlings Graywolf Press have over three times as many followers as the hip-hop kings at Rhymesayers?
If nothing else, maybe this list will remind you to share some follow-love with important local companies like Zenon Dance, the SPCO, and Trylon Microcinema proprietors Take-Up Productions.
