The expansion into Seward Redesign’s newly remodeled “Frankly 27th” space adds 95 more seats — more than doubling the number of tables to 39 — and a second kitchen devoted to dine-in customers. The existing kitchen will be used for takeout orders and two new services: delivery and catering.
A wide hallway leads from the existing dining room — which remains unchanged — to new seating at booths, tables, a long counter and a separate space for private parties or banquets.
Owner Anna Prasomphel hopes the expansion will raise the level of service at her restaurant. “We have worked hard to improve every aspect of True Thai,” said Prasomphel of the year-long remodel, “focusing on more attentive services, a deeper appreciation for our regular customers and a big welcoming smile for new customers.”
In June, True Thai expanded its hours (Monday–Thursday, 11 a.m.–9 p.m.; Friday–Saturday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m.) and its menu, adding country style Thai potatoes.
