THURSDAY PICK | Public policy and improv comedy, together at last

Print

This year the Republican debates have already provided plenty of improv comedy related to public policy, but if you’d like something a little less partisan, take a look at HUGE’s Theater of Public Policy. Each show in the weekly series kicks off with a serious debate about serious issues, followed by improv comedy riffs on those issues. The spring series kicks off tonight as Annie Levenson-Falk (Citizens League) and Juventino Meza (NAVIGATE) discuss academic achievement among immigrant students. The topic could hardly be more loaded—will the comics hit the mark, or misfire?
