You might be wondering why there was no Tangletown house tour this fall. It’s been a popular annual event, but according to the Tangletown News newsletter, “a lack of homeowners offering their homes for the tour” caused its cancellation. The hope is that this event can be revived next year as a garden tour or home and garden tour.
On Saturday, December 4, the Washburn Library at Lyndale and Minnehaha Parkway will celebrate its 40th birthday with activities and a major book sale by Friends of the Library from 10:00 to 4:00. For more information, www.supporthclib.org/washburn.
Also on December 4, the new two-level Transit station in the middle of I-35W at 46th St. will open. This is the first of several planned stations of this kind in the Twin Cities, allowing riders to board or exit express buses from the 46th St. Bridge. More info at www.metrotransit.org/35W.
The Tangletown Neighborhood Association will hold its next meeting on Monday, November 15 from 7:00 – 8:30 at Fuller Park.
