Principals and administrative staff are already back at school, getting ready for the students who will stream through the doors on September 6. St. Paul Public Schools are urging those who have not yet registered to sign up now. The Student Placement Center (2102 University Avenue) is open Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will also be open evenings, until 8 p.m. on August 23, 25, 30 and September 1 and 6.

Getting to the right school on the first day of classes is a big step toward student success. The Student Placement Center staff will explain the enrollment process, answer questions and help fill out application forms.
In St. Paul, school opens for grades 1-12 on September 6, the day after Labor Day. School begins for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students on September 12.
Minneapolis public schools will welcome grades 1-12 back to school on August 29 and new kindergarten students on August 31.
