What’s your job?
“I work as an institutional research analyst, a.k.a. ‘data oracle,’ at St. Catherine University.”
Other than your job, what are your claims to fame?
“I’ve been volunteering in the squirrel nursery at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center since 2004 and with Big Brothers/Big Sisters for over 10 years. I’m the board president for Bedlam Theatre and treasurer for Theatre Pro Rata. I photograph theater and dance productions throughout the year and I occasionally direct short plays. Last year I attended over 200 theater, dance, opera, and music performances and I’m on my way to breaking that record this year. I’ve got a pet Japanese squirrel.”
What’s your relationship status?
“Single and available.”
Where are you most likely to be seen?
“Smaller theaters like Red Eye, Nimbus, Gremlin, Lowry Lab, BLB, Playwrights’ Center, Open Eye Figure Theatre, HUGE, and Bedlam when it returns. Also, Taqueria los Ocampo in St. Paul.”
Where are you least likely to be seen?
“Loud, crowded bars. Uptown.”
With whom are you most likely to be seen?
“I usually go to shows by myself but I always run into people I know in the audience.”
Where were you born?
“Chicago’s south side.”
What neighborhood do you live in now?
“Dayton’s Bluff in St. Paul.”
What’s your ride?
“I’ve got a Toyota with squirrels spray-painted on my hubcaps. I bus to shows when I can, especially those in St. Paul.”
What’s the best way for someone to start a conversation with you?
“Ask about theater, squirrels, or the books I’m currently reading.”
