The Schubert Club began 130 years ago when a collective of women in the Twin Cities sought to keep the classical arts alive. Today, the Schubert Club presents performances year-round from emerging and internationally renowned artists. It also runs a museum and sponsors guitar and piano lessons to children in St. Paul, among other programs. In this video produced by MNuet.com’s Matt Peiken, artistic and executive director Barry Kempton tours us through The Schubert Club’s past, present and future.
