Pencil in a Friday night date with Fido for the Northeast Dog Parade and post-party. Dog lovers and their faithful companions, donning their favorite costumes if they wish, will meet at Chute Park, parade up Hennepin Avenue, and round back down to the riverfront for a celebration of the dog life. There, parade participants will be welcomed with refreshments, dog-themed awards, a flea market featuring awesome pooch-loving vendors (like us!), delicious food (for pup and parent), swag from paw-some retailers, and plenty of opps to meet new furry friends.
After all the excitement, why not stay and enjoy the evening in lovely NE Minneapolis? Take the pup for a walk along the mighty Mississippi or sit and sip on one of the many dog-friendly patios (like Ginger Hop or Wilde Roast). Or hit up “Bark at Art…and purrr,” a pet-friendly art exhibit opening at Gallery 122 @ Hang IT benefitting The Pet Project. After all, these are the dog days of summer — enjoy them while they’re here!
