Recycling the Christmas tree – free!

Want to get rid of that Christmas tree? Both Hennepin and Ramsey County are offering free disposal for real trees. That means wood-chipping and recycling, rather than land-filling.

First, remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights or plastic bags. Then take the tree—and proof of residence to a recycling station.

Ramsey County—free with proof of residence.
