The annual Ramsey County Fair is being held July 10-14 at the County Fairgrounds at Frost Avenue and White Bear Avenue, just north of Aldrich Arena, one mile south of Hwy 36 in Maplewood. Fair planners intend to make this annual county fair a participation experience as well as a spectator’s experience. Youth and adults can compete in all of the educational exhibits (cooking, sewing, crafts, gardening, etc.) for ribbons and cash prizes. Winners in the talent contest will enter into the Minnesota State Fair competition. There will be a variety of entertainment: bands on stage, kids can be “farmer for the day,” children’s petting zoo, talent contest, fireworks, carnival rides, and a parade. Other fair highlights include commercial exhibits, Gibbs Farm demonstrators, food vendors, beer, bingo and more. Before the fair opens, carnival ride tickets at significantly reduced prices can be obtained. For a complete list of events and times, call the county fair office at (651) 770-2626 or visit www.ramseycountyfair.com. Fair opens at 5:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday and 12:00 noon on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Admission to the County Fair is free.
