A meeting, organized by the SHA Pedestrian Safety and Traffic Calming Committee, will be held Monday, January 13th, 2014 at the Linwood Rec Center to discuss the Lexington Avenue bus line expected to open in conjunction with the Central Corridor LRT project in Spring 2014. Metro Transit officials will be joined by other City representatives and SHA in addressing questions and concerns residents may have with the expanded bus service to Summit Hill.
During the 2012 planning phase of LRT feeder buses, area residents and the SHA worked with Metro Transit and other city entities in defining the planned Route 83 that will extend along Lexington Parkway from West 7th Street to Como Avenue. In addition, bus service on Route 65 along Dale Avenue will be extended south to Grand Avenue to also help connect residents with the LRT.
