Protesters greet Wisconsin governor in Hudson

A large crowd turned out in Hudson, Wis., Tuesday to protest a visit by Governor Scott Walker.

Participants said they oppose legislation Walker signed Friday to strip most public employees of most of their collective bargaining rights. They also are concerned about his plan to balance the budget on the backs of the middle class.

“This isn’t about Democrats and Republicans,” Hudson resident Nan Lambert said. “This is about corporations and the working people.”

The St. Paul Regional Labor Federation produced a short video of the protest.
