Mark your calendars for two more St. Anthony Park traditions the first weekend in June: the Northern Lights 4-H Club pie and ice cream social and the St. Anthony Park Garden Club’s annual plant sale.
The 4-H social will be held Friday, June 1, from 7 to 9 p.m., on the Luther Seminary lawn at the corner of Como Avenue and Luther Place. The St. Anthony Park Community Band will perform at 7:15 p.m.
The St. Anthony Park Garden Club Plant Sale will be held Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tents and tables will be set up at Park Service, 2277 Como Ave., during the St. Anthony Park Arts Festival. Garden club members and master gardeners will be on hand to offer gardening ideas, guidance and specifics about plant culture. Proceeds from the sale benefit garden and natural resource projects in St Anthony Park.
Featured plants at the sale will include sedum, iris, hosta, daylilies, monarda, black-eyed Susans, native plants, herbs and annuals.
